2017 年 7 月，舊金山偉人隊將全壘打王 Barry Bonds 非正式退休，在 AT& Park 球場外放上他的匾額，懷念 Bonds 在偉人隊 15 個歲首來的造詣。
美國時間 2018 年 2 月 5 日，偉人隊在民間 Twitter 上宣佈將在 8 月 11 日退休 Bonds 的 25 號違號，即是正式認可這位傳奇球星的退休，而且肯定水平地接納了 Bonds 的禁藥暗影。
